Technology is the application of scientific advances or
other organized knowledge to benefit humanity. It includes
any tool, product, process, method, technique, organization
of scientific knowledge or system to perform practical
tasks. Technology aims at the application of scientific
knowledge that is used to make products, objects or
processes which make life easier and better. Technology can
be any innovation, modification, change of the existing
natural environment to satisfy human needs and wants. It is
human innovation in action that involves the generation of
scientific knowledge and process to develop systems that
extend human capabilities and benefit humanity.
Technology relies upon scientific study and
applications of information in specific fields. It includes
changed or modified tools and software's that help us to
get along and solve problems easier. Technology can be
applied to any field where there is a need. Technology
includes all the items from the very small to the major
products or processes. It covers bikes to automobiles to
the latest formula one race cars.
It is safe to say that computers, electronics, the Internet,
machines, robots, circuits etc are technologies. Mobile
and computer technology assist in sharing information
and knowledge rapidly and effectively. What was before
slow is now much faster with the aid of technology.
Similarly in an exact field like health care, technology
consists of scientific drugs, diagnostics, reagents,
instruments, devices, equipments and supplies, support
system and surgical methods.
The motivating factor behind all technological activities
is the desire to fulfill human needs. For this reason all
product and process are realized whether they are
computers, mobiles, machines or aircrafts. If they were
needed technology paved the path to fulfill this need.
Science and technology are closely related. The basic
difference between science and technology is that science
deals with natural world and explains the existence of
objects and other elements. On the other hand technology
deals with man-made word. It specifics how the new
innovative ways or existing ways can be modified to make
products and process better. It is the practical
application of scientific knowledge and ways. People use
these technical means to communicate, transport,
manufacture and construct.
Technology removes the obstacle and provides us with new
ways that allow us to work effectively and efficiently. It
is the purposeful application of scientific knowledge,
experience and resources to create products and process
that meet human needs. It helps people to improve their
surrounding. It creates a system which enables people to
make their life easier and better. It improves our ability
to do work. With technology people work better, communicate
better, develop better products and processes. Our working
capacity is enhanced because of the use of technology like
computers, our communications improve with the use of
technology like mobile, we travel with more speed as a
result of technology. We get better diagnostics and
treatments because of the use of health technology.
Technology is every where, working for satisfaction of
human needs, and making life better.
